Tiling Inspiration from Grand Designs London Live 2017

3rd May 2017
Grand Designs Live opened in London on Friday 29th April and runs for nine days. This year’s event (the 12th so far) is hosted by Kevin McCloud. Visitors can expect to see all the latest design trends and home improvement inspirations – even if they are not planning on building their own ‘Grand Design’. This expo features 500 exhibitors all experts in the fields of kitchen, bathroom and garden design. The show runs at the London Excel Centre until May 7th. If you can’t make it, here are some of the tiling highlights.

Bathroom Design

In the bathrooms section of Grand Designs Live there are displays from exhibitors such as New World Bathrooms, Aromabath and Alaris. New World Bathrooms are the leading suppliers of high quality steam shower enclosures and sauna rooms. If you’re thinking about recreating the relaxing atmosphere of a luxury spa for your bathroom, Tiles Away have a wide range of tiles to complement any bathroom. Search our catalogue online by style, colour and material to find the tiles that suit your personal tastes and requirements.

Kitchen Chic

Michel Roux Jnr launched the ultimate chef’s kitchen at Grand Designs Live this year. The Roux Kitchen hones in on minor details such as integrated lighting and ingenious storage. Whether you fancy yourself as Michel Roux Jnr or Delia Smith, the kitchen is often the heart of the home. At Tiles Away we take the time to understand your home improvements project and offer a personal service. From sleek and contemporary to traditional country cottage we have kitchen tiles that are guaranteed to add style and character to your kitchen.

Grand Room Set Competition

The aim of the Grand Room Sets is to inspire visitors and encourage them to take home ideas and useful supplier contacts. The theme of this year’s competition was ‘TV’. Amateur interior designer and competition finalist Bryony was inspired to create a luxurious bathroom based on the TV series ‘Victoria’. This included a deep, free standing-bath, low-hanging chandeliers and romantic art-work. With a mix of subtle tones and stylish patterns, the ranges of tiles at Tiles Away can help you create your own dreamy bathroom in which to escape and unwind.
